Wall Street Cautious About Online Gambling. 2005-12-29
Wall Street may do anything to make a buck, but if they are on to your company for investment you must be into something good. This was the case with the largest Wall Street firms when they see the ever growing boom in the online gaming industry. It is because of that they see that this could be a real good investment that is if it were legal.
The only way to get involved is by trying to endorse it with American investors. The only potential problem for investors is that legal experts are divided over a legal issue. U.S. investors and/or investment houses that operate mutual funds could be criminally liable for endorsements. After all, they would be producing financial backing for what they US sees as ‘illegal’ offshore casinos. The casinos are only legal in their own domain, and the United States still see this as illegal, and anyone involved could be libel.
