Indiana Revenues Dropped Last Month. 2005-10-24
As previously reports by Indianaís own news, combined revenues at area riverboats fell in September. They dropped by nearly 1% from last year, but rose last month. The five Northwest Indiana casinos took in $98.8 million, up from $98.7 million in August. However they were down from $99.6 million in September 2004.
September has been slow and that isnít so unusual for casinos. It seems that gamblers head back to school or work after the summer ends. Casinos suffer some fall back, but it is not unusual.
Revenues dropped for four of five Northwest Indiana casinos. This happened for the most part between August and September. The revenues arenít in a crisis, but next August if the numbers arenít up there will be concern.
