Former Wichita Mayor Bob Knight, over time has become a casino promoter, and very involved in gambling matters. Last week at the Board of Commissioners meeting he gave the impression that he could build a casino anywhere in Kansas. That may even be in the pastures of Marion County.
Marion County needs some sort of boost even if that means a casino in an area of 13,000 people. Knight & Co. want fast county commissioners to authorize a referendum for November. They want to help get this area on their feet, and make it an economic boom.
