New License Not Coming So Easy Casino.

Lawyers for the Illinois Gaming Board told a judge that Emerald Casino Inc. should lose its gambling license for deceitful behavior. This behavior means giving false information to regulators about its plans to finance construct a casino in Rosemont. They have no intentions of doing so, as they are bankrupt.
Lawyers for the bankrupt casino argued for other reasons. The board is unfairly punishing Emerald because of separate allegations of mob influence in a Chicago suburb. The state wants the license back so they can sell the casino to another casino operator.
These statements came during closing arguments in the Gaming Board's four-month clerical hearing. The hearing is trying to strip Emerald of the state�s only unused casino license. Assistant State's Attorney Paul Gaynor said Emerald no longer deserves the license because of lying to its customers.
