The Dogs Are Back In Business.

It seems that the dogs are back in business. The Lakes Region Greyhound Park has a new owner, and now is trying to reopen the track that closed last spring. The new owner is now hiring back employees, and preparing for business.
The track closed in the spring after two former managers were indicted. The managers were indicted on charges of illegal gambling and money laundering in New York. After which time, it was unclear if the track would be closed for good.
Mississippi gambling tycoon Marlin Torguson is this new owner. He purchased track, and is hoping to reopen in January. Torguson bought the track for $4.1 million, and is now applying for a state gaming license.
