The Iron Is Hot, But Mega Millions Has Not Been Struck. 2005-07-07
As reported throughout the last two weeks, Mega Millions has not been hit. $53 Million was not hit, nor was the $63Million, nor the $73 Million, of the last three drawings. Mega Millions is drawn on Tuesdays, and Fridays for California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. The epidemic is just growing, and growing. Tuesdays, July 5 Mega Millions drawing really brought out semi prize winners, but no full five number winners with the Mega Ball bonus, for a total of six numbers for the big win. A total of 477,608 tickets won Mega Millions prizes. This means the jackpot for the Friday, July 8, 2005s Mega Millions drawing will grow to $88 million.
Tuesday's winning numbers were: 22-38-48-50-55 and the Mega Ball number was 29. Three tickets came matched the first five numbers only, and reported their wins immediately. Two of those tickets were sold in California and one in New Jersey. California has special limitations on how they divide up prize money.
While the wins are there for five numbers, in the past two weeks no one has won the big prize with all six numbers. Thousands upon thousands are showing up for the contests now, because the big prize has not been struck. The longer this goes on, the higher the jackpot grows. Hopefully this Friday some lucky person will walk away a millionaire.
