Seneca Woman Elected to the Gaming Commission. 2005-07-07
A Seneca woman from New York State has been named as special assistant to the National Indian Gaming Commission. The woman with several decades of experience in tribal gaming, is now getting the position, she deserves. Natalie Hemlock is that person.
Hemlock is former member the Seneca Nation Community Planning and Development Department. She has also worked for the private sector, helping tribes with economic development grants and strategy planning. Hemlock is a graduate of both Cornell and Harvard Universities.
The move is a good one for the Gaming Commission. It is a reward for good behavior. She will do well for the commission; she already has, in a sense with her activities in the Seneca Nation.
