A new vote to block internet gambling

A few days after well-known Republicans and Democrats disrupted a prepared vote on the bill by vowing to resist it; the U.S. House of Representatives has listed a vote to stop cyber gambling, for next week.
For now the House Rules Committee approved a suggestion on at least two amendments and another one which will be considered later, to the proposal.
The financial Services committee is now waiting for the end of 2005 to hear the decision of the federal regulators on the next limitations to be implemented on all financial transactions used by online gambling.
Rumors say that credit card will no longer be an option for an online payment and will not be permitted by the banks.

The amendments would exempt credit cards from the list of transactions covered by the regulations, and a specifications on the uses of bets and wagers.
