Calling Up Niagara Fire Dept.

A casino/ hotel need to call the fire department when a propane tank exploded in the water-treatment area of the Seneca Niagara Casino Hotel. It caused minor damage, when it happened on Friday afternoon. The Niagara Falls Fire Department responded immediately to the problem, as it was called in.
The explosion occurred around 3:11 p.m. on the southern end of the hotel. The explosion was so strong that a sprinkler system had activated in a building close to the hotel. It seemed though that the explosion was an accident.
Seneca Niagara Spokesman, Philip J. Pantano claimed the usage for the propane tank was to fuel heaters for the winter. Apparently, the tank exploded shortly after a hose melted. Luckily for the hotel the damages were estimated at only $5,000-$6,000.
